Reflection 7
There are times where I am really good at focusing on silver linings, and other times where I can't seem to see the good surrounding me.
One thing that helps me, is when I am transparent with people I trust about how I am doing.
It sounds so simple, but my response to "How are you doing?" is almost robotically "Pretty good! How about you?". It feels vulnerable to say anything but that, but I always feel so much better once I disclose that "hanging in there" or "I am going through it right now". At the end of the day when I am scared to be honest, I remember that is what friends are for! They want to support me! The honest conversations gave them insight on what I was going through and what would be helpful from a friend. Everyone goes through phases, no need to go through it alone.
For this reflection, what is something you are an "expert" at? I am an expert in sunset chasing, iced tea drinking, and dancing like no one is watching.
